The big system is naturally the centre of a modern aquaculture, because here the recirculation moves not only the most water but also harbors the most fish (in sheer kg of fish volume). Therefore the highest amount of technique is hidden in these systems. Depending on the fish species these systems are occupying different amounts of space.
Especially in the fattening systems the technique has to be matched thoroughly to the fish species, to guarantee a good growth and prevent outbreaks of possible illnesses.

For a 50to system only one worker is needed for the daily routine in the recirculation. Generally the filter system is constructed to afford a minimum of cleaning activity, so that the intervals between the filter cleansing are around a month.
The filters in the fattening systems may reach considerable volumes. The dimensions are of course depending on the amount of feed used in the system. The filters are calculates to support the maximum use of feed and therefore in the end the feed is the restricting element in full recirculation system.
