The systems for raising young fish are in regard to the filter technique of the same design as all filtersystems of Fischgut Primus Anlagenbau GmbH. Differing from the breeding room the filters are bigger, since the fish is here already in the fingerling stage and therefore the fish volume is substantially bigger. The fish live in rectangular basins to grow until they can be moved to the fattening systems. These basins have been proofed to be very practical, because they do not require cleaning. A couple of basins can be placed on top of each other and are therefore very space efficient. This system is very suitable for fingerlings which are moved out of the hatchery with two to three centimeters, because you can easily reach

and care for the animals given that one stands directly in front of them. Beyond that this construction of young fish basins allows a long period of feed intake, which is crucial for a good feed conversion meaning feeding quotient. The fingerlings stay in this system until they reach a size of 20 cm depending on the species. The young fish system is the link between the hatchery and the fattening system.

Here, like in the breeding room, the cleaning of the water is done in different steps. The mechanical stage is located in the GFK-basin sedimentation. The water is disinfected through professional UV-C burner after the removing of particulate matter from the water. The key of the cleaning process is the biological degradation of waste in the biofilter.
